Hello, December!

The color of springtime is in the flowers; the color of winter is in the imagination.
– Terri Guillemets

December is my favorite winter month for three reasons:

  1. My son was born on the 3rd of December;
  2. It’s magical Christmas time;
  3. It’s time when everything falls asleep under the soft and fluffy snow blanket.

When mother nature dresses up the inhabitants of its kingdom and starts singing miraculous lullabies to everyone, my imagination wakes up.

While everything is seeing fantastic dreams and wrapped up in a cozy quilt of reflection, I stay awake to welcome every imaginary guest warmly. As if all the festive and the magical hustle and bustle whispers to me the top secret ideas that will live on the pages of my books then.

Today, December opened its gates to me in the cutest and one of the most mystical ways ever. Behind the gates, I met him. The mythological creature gave me a curious hint that didn’t need further clarification, at least for me.

Sebastian The Gnome has been waiting so long to keep telling his story.

So, welcoming our new family member, I get back to the WIP that has patiently waited for me.

To the magical winter lullabies, I start living through one more true based story that I can’t wait to keep writing.

I won’t reveal the secrets beforehand, but I do hope you’ll enjoy living with my characters as much as I savor life with them.

Thank you so much for dropping by and reading this post!

Stay safe, take care, and happy writing to all those who enjoy creating during this time of the year!

One encounter, one talk, one dance

“A thought of a special person warms better than any hot drink.”

Ellen Khodakivska

I do not believe in coincidence. I truly believe that someone up there wouldn’t ever be tired of writing the twisty scenarios of our lives.

I met an old man in the park years ago. Someone up there made our life paths cross, giving us a chance to talk. An unexpected encounter and a long talk completely changed my life; it was also a remedy for an old man’s soul. I still believe they leave us a chance to choose; otherwise, I wouldn’t have jogged with my dog that morning and would have never met that man.

Someone up there, in the fluffy kingdom, had prudently organized one encounter, one talk, and one dance of two young people long beforehand. The rulers of the Universe gave the young people dozen of variants of their lives to choose from. But probably, they were destined to choose what they had chosen. Otherwise, this story would have never seen the world.

I do not believe in coincidence. The old man also didn’t believe in them. The old vet believed with all his heart that the lesson of one dance was fated to change not only his and Linda’s lives. “The Everlasting Dance” is predestined to be helpful for all who will read about it in the future.

That’s why if someone accidentally invites you to share a cup of tea or to break into a passionate dance, always think twice – because there are no coincidences. And, probably, the choice you’ll make will be the plot of someone’s book; and the thought of a special person you shared a drink with will warm you in the future.

I sincerely do hope you’ll enjoy reading this story as much as I enjoyed writing it!

This book is available on Amazon.

Anyway, dear reader, thank you for dropping by and reading this post.

Stay safe, take care, and happy reading!

“Darke Apocalypse” by Lee Hall

If you want to ‘go beyond true darkness’ and feel goosebumps running back and forth, this book is definitely what you need.

“The Prophecy of Old states that everything in Life and Death must be balanced.” Lee Hall, “Darke Apocalypse”

The Plot:  Blake Malone, Caitlyn Turner, Luke Hartford, and the rest of the crew come back to a ‘ghost town’ Darke Heath to break into a final fight with the true darkness that only pretends to vanish. On the contrary, it becomes more dangerous, darker, and ruthless than ever. The night creatures hide among the shadows, make up their dark-minded plans, and are ready to use the pure souls as bait to entrap those who stay on the bright side into their dark empire. Only time will show the result of the fight between the light and the darkness. Because the creatures living ‘beyond true darkness’ always have a creephole through which they can come back.

The Writing Style: This is the final book in this amazing series. It can be compared with a summit ascent – approaching the summit, the view gets better and better, but the most astonishing one is on the top. Every book in this series has its unique, captivating charm that holds your attention from cover to cover and motivates you to start reading the next one as soon as possible. I won’t be surprised if there are some new books in this series in the future. The final book is mesmerizing, action-packed, and a heart-squeezing page-turner about witches, vampires, demons, and other night creatures. The author succeeded in doing a great job – the summit ascent was penetrated with perilous twists, heartbreaking scenes, sarcastic humor, and adventurous spirit. But the spending view from the top conquered my bookish soul, making me live with the characters even after reading this gorgeous fantasy novel with a well-thought world-building.

The Characters: There was a torrential rain of tears in my bookish soul while reading one of the final scenes. The author showed vividly how the bottom of the young soul writhes in pain, trying to survive and preserve the inner light; this young soul goes through all the stages of maturing in accelerating mode. The characters are incredible and will live in my bookish heart forever; when my son and daughter grow a bit, I’ll definitely recommend them this series.

My Favorite Quote: “The Prophecy of Old states that everything in Life and Death must be balanced.”

Would I read other books by this author: Absolutely!

My humble rating is: A view from the top is always the best – that’s why I’m giving this book my highest humble rating – 5.5/5 stars.

My ‘word’ for 2022 is ‘balance’. This book is one of the most well-balanced books I’ve recently read. Everything in this series is amazingly balanced – love, death, life, humor, actions, mystery, danger, and so on. This is one more reason why I gave this book the highest rating. Lee Hall succeeded in creating a perfectly balanced witch/vampire series with the masterpiece on the top!

This book is available on Amazon, and buckle up in the mysterious yellow taxi and be ready to keep your eyes wide open even if ‘true darkness looks directly at you.

Anyway, thank you for dropping by and reading this review.

Stay safe, take care, and happy reading!

“A Clock Can Talk”

“One of the great tricks of time – is to make you believe everything stays the same when everything has already changed.”

“The Watchmaker: A Clock Can Talk”

“One of the great tricks of time – is to make you believe everything stays the same when everything has already changed.”
Ellen Khodakivska , “The Watchmaker: A Clock Can Talk”

Autumn is a magically beautiful season. The rustling leaves, a burst of colors, fallen chestnuts and acorns, mushrooms playing hide and seek in the woods – all these components are wonderful. I won’t even argue about it. It’s just not my cup of tea for many reasons that I had discussed once with an old man in a blue pullover.

I know that it wasn’t a coincidence that we met each other in November as if autumn had decided to arrange our encounter a long time ago. For both of us, this month wasn’t easy. The old man reminded me of “The Last Leaf” in O. Henry’s story. He was the last one on his family tree, and his face was covered with a gentle net of wrinkles; he knew that his time was running to an end, but still, he was holding tight to give hope to all those who needed it, to tell his story that could be useful and will live forever in people’s hearts.

“Pure love and endless gratitude are some of the timeless issues. Pure love never dies; it lives forever in our deeds, creations, and inheritors.” Ellen Khodakivska “The Watchmaker”

Despite all the watchmaker’s misfortunes, there was no hatred in his big heart. His soul was like a chest full of light and mysteriously mesmerizing stories he had heard from the clocks. Because “A Clock Can Talk,” but in autumn, it usually talks a bit louder – at least in his family.

I’m not a big fan of this season, but I sincerely believe that it’s one of the best seasons to read “The Watchmaker: A Clock Can Talk.” Because, as well as Dominic Donelli (The Watchmaker), I know that “A Clock Can Talk” – at least in my family.

This is a true based story that I have so much in common with. Yes, it’s full of pain and death, but it’s also full of pure love and deep gratitude, timeless issues.

If you’re interested, you can find this book on Amazon.

I do hope that you’ll enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Anyway, thanks a lot for dropping by and reading this post!

“Darke Blood” by Lee Hall

If you want to dive into a fantastic vampire/witch action-packed novel, this one is totally what you need.

“Sometimes you don’t need to say anything to say everything.” Lee Hall, “Darke Blood”

The Plot:  Blake Malone arrives in the forest town of Darke Heath. He hopes to make a fresh start and find answers to some riddles. The encounter with a pretty, mysterious woman named Caitlyn reveals more secrets than he could expect. Moreover, his memory starts playing a tricky game with Blake Malone, giving him more and more riddles hidden in the true darkness of the Darke forest. You can find out whether Blake Malone can fight the darkness and discover all the secrets by reading this brilliant, blood-freezing thriller full of vampires, witches, and true darkness.

The Writing Style: This is the next book in the “Open Evening” series, and, truth to be told, the plot thickens and keeps in suspense from cover to cover. The author created a well-thought and fast-paced thriller where two worlds – the real and fantasy – collide perfectly, making a reader follow an intense whirlpool of events. “Darke Blood” is an excellent page-turner, where the history of vampires and witches intertwines with the main character’s story. Another thing that gives this thriller a unique charm is the presence of humor that, like a cherry on the pie, makes this thriller totally adorable in all aspects.

The Characters: As well as in the previous book, an average number of characters are perfectly described and well-developed. The strong female leading character perfectly matches the male one who possesses a perfect sense of humor when the true darkness envelopes the town and his soul.

My Favorite Quote: “Sometimes you don’t need to say anything to say everything.”

Would I read other books by this author: Yeap!

My humble rating is: 5/5

I sincerely hope that you’ll enjoy reading this series and “Darke Blood” in particular as much as I did!

Happiness in a Bubble (Part 3)

“There is no Frigate like a Book

To take us Lands away

Nor any Coursers like a Page

Of prancing Poetry –

This Traverse may the poorest take

Without oppress of Toll –

How frugal is the Chariot

That bears the Human Soul “

Emily Dickinson, “There is no Frigate like a Book”

When August fog covered the city, I decided it was a sort of a sign to take a break from social media and spend some time in one of my bubbles of happiness. So, I didn’t waste a second. I jumped into my bubble and started a two-months trip out of social media.

I was totally dissolved in the dense vibes of happiness of my bubble. I traveled a bit, sharing priceless moments with my husband, son, and newly born daughter. Indeed, I focused on what makes my soul bloom – I forgot about everything and concentrated on writing about the adventures of my fluffy assistant – cat Josef.

I could never imagine that a skinny book about cat Josef would turn into something bigger. But it happened – Perspective Publishing believed in me and my project. That’s why, having finished writing the final draft, I sent a parcel from my bubble to Perspective Publishing that will reveal all the secrets about the book a bit later.

Meanwhile, I returned from the two-month trip with my soul nourished, inspired, and ready to share positive and bright vibes worldwide.

In October, the visibility is good enough for my bubble to land safely and start traveling on a bookish frigate in the ocean of captivating pages.

Before jumping into the next project, I’m going to put up the sails and travel to the adorable worlds created by amazing fellow writers. And I’m starting with “Darke Blood” by @Lee Hall!

You can find “Darke Blood” and the rest of the books of this series on Amazon.

✍🏼You’ll never know for sure whether you’re making a right choice. Only time will give you an answer. But you unlikely can change something then.

✍🏼 Based on true events it is the story of Marcus and Linda, who were spinning around the main choice of their life until one of them made a final decision. Unfortunately, both didn’t think over that the choice made is not retroactive.

My Felicita Bubbles (Part 1)

When happiness covers me, I jump into a bubble.

Since my early childhood, this feeling has been with me and has managed to stay with me so far.

When I was a little girl, I fancied myself boarding into a middle-sized bubble when something good happened to me. In my imagination, it was a sort of a soap bubble; only its walls were solid, unbreakable, and bulletproof. So, if some ill-wishers tried to collapse my bubble, they would fail.

When I came on board, my imaginary transport took off, and I set off for traveling along unexplored, untouchable, and mysterious lands of happiness. The greater the event was, the longer the journey was.

One of my ‘Felicita Bubbles” was ready for me yesterday when my author copies finally arrived. The point is that the last time I ordered them, they were lost somehow. That’s why this time, I kept my fingers crossed and anticipated to see them at last.

Having received and unboxed them safely, I stepped aboard of my bubble and dissolved in this happiness of holding my author copies in my hands for the first time since they had been published. As the joy spread along my mind and body, I shared these emotions in my bookish talk with book lovers and fellow writers. It felt like I was sending tiny ‘Felicita Bubbles’ to all those who are as passionate about the bookish/writing world as I am.

Since this event is big for me and one more is coming, this ‘Felicita Bubble’ is fueled for a long journey that will allow me to spread the vibes of happiness to all those who need them right now.

Since my early childhood, I knew that I would be a writer. My writing process also takes place in “Felicita Bubble,” and this journey lasts longer and longer. But, truth to be told, holding the author copies and talking about them with the readers definitely allows an in-flight refueling that makes this journey turn into something everlasting.

Thank you for stopping by and reading this post!
